UK Chinese Music (est. 1998) and London Youlan Qin Society (Est. 2003) are nonprofit making partner organisations aiming to develop and promote the practice, understanding and appreciation of Chinese traditional and contemporary music in the UK and the West.  We provide regular Chinese instrumental tuition offline and online, China-UK recognised certificates for Grading Exams and Competitions, organise concerts and workshops as well as annual Summer School and Festivals.

2025 London International Chinese Music Festival 
“伦敦国际中国音乐节”正在报名|Registration is now open

基于21年国乐夏校和音乐节的成功举办, 我英国中乐团和幽兰琴社携手伦大亚非学院, 集顶尖音乐家们为中国音乐乐爱好者提供了一个难得的学习和交流的机会. 
 
音乐节包括5天的夏校, 乐器课包括二胡, 琵琶, 古筝, 古琴, 笛/箫, 打击乐, 京剧昆曲清唱以及民乐合奏课.  还有讲座,大师课,工作坊和数场专题音乐会. 青少年都能得到音乐节的优惠.

Based on the success of our past 21 Chinese Music Summer Schools and Festivals, the UK Chinese Music Ensemble and Youlan Qin Music Society have joined hands with the School of Oriental and African Studies of the University of London to bring together top musicians to provide Chinese music lovers with a rare opportunity to learn and perform.
 
The festival includes a 5-day summer school, instrument classes include erhu violin, pipa lute/guitar, guzheng (21-stringed zither) guqin (7-stringed zither), dizi/xiao (Bamboo flutes), drumming/percussion, Peking opera and Kunqu opera singing and music ensemble classes.
 
There are also talks, master classes, workshops and several special concerts. Young people can get discounts at the festival. We hope you will join in with us actively in the friendly and rewarding experience of traditional Chinese music.
